Dr. Yang, Ligang and His Long March
On Environmental Protection
Dr. Wade Ligang Yang worked nearly 20 years as an environmental engineer. Dr.
Yang works with Re/Max Imperial Realty Inc., Brokerage, also a manager of Dr.’s
Branch. He runs Yang Eco-Living Tech. Ltd. (YELT) in the construction-related fields
too.
杨立纲博士从事了近20年环境工程师工作，现在RE/MAX帝国地产公司就职地产
经纪，并担任博士分公司经理。他还经营着杨氏生态技术公司(Yang Eco-Living
Tech. Ltd.)，开展与建筑相关的业务。
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, a Postgraduate Certificate in Physical
Chemistry, a Master Degree in Political Economy, and obtained his Ph.D. Degree in
Environmental Economy from the Renmin University of China in 2003.
杨立纲拥有化学学士学位、物理化学研究生学历、政治经济学硕士学位，并于
2003年获得中国人民大学环境经济学博士学位。
Dr. Yang actively supports non-profit and charitable organizations, manages Canadian
Chinese Environmental Association (CCEA) and East-West Orchestra and Choir
(EWOC). In his passionate public welfare projects and activities, Dr. Yang strives to
implement his understanding of the coordination and sustainable development of
people, nature, environment, and resources. He insisted that environmental protection
is " a Long March without an end."
杨博士热爱公益事业，积极支持非盈利社团和慈善机构建设，投身加拿大华人
环保协会和东西方乐团的建设和管理。在其所热衷的公益项目和活动中，杨博
士努力贯彻着他对人、自然、环境、资源的协调与可持续发展的理解。他坚持
认为，环境保护是“一个没有终点的长征”。
Dr. Yang published “The Footprint of a Realtor” in Canada in 2016. In China he
published “The Economic Growth under Optimized Ecology: The Sustainable
Development Model of Hainan Island” in 1999, and “Common Knowledge of
Environmental Protection” Series 1-8 in 1996. Thanks to the active promotion of
Yang Ligang and others, this set of " Environmental Protection Common Sense" was
successfully introduced into the environmental education of kindergartens to primary
schools in Haikou City, and became the first systematic reading of the model
education in the country.
杨博士2016年在加拿大出版了文集《一个地产经纪的足迹》，1999年在中国出
版了著作《生态优化条件下的经济增长——海南可持续发展模式》，1996年在中
国出版了《环境保护常识》系列1-8册。经过杨立纲等人的积极推动，这套《环
境保护常识》，在海口市被成功地引进幼儿园到小学的环境教育中，成为全国
首套系统地在当地进行示范教育的读本。
As the author, Dr. Ligang Yang said, “The Footprint of a Realtor” is an anthology
based on real estate and environmental protection.
正如作者杨立纲博士所言，《一个地产经纪的足迹》是一本立足于房地产经济
与环境保护的文集。
The book embodies the author’s experiences in the last three decades, especially the past decade as an immigrant, as well as ideas engaged in independent research, and
his best wishes for a multi-cultural society and sustainable development.
这本著作凝聚了作者近三十年来，特别是近十年来移民加拿大后工作与生活的
经验和体会，尤其是他从事独立研究的思想观点，以及他对于多元文化社会和
可持续发展的美好憧憬。
The book extraordinarily tells readers present status of brokerages, the true value of
properties, facts of real estate transaction, also trends of differentiated markets in real
estate field in the Greater Toronto Area.
这本书尤其结合大多伦多地区，向读者介绍了房产代理的现状，物业价值的实
质，房产交易的真相，以及房地产领域差异化市场变化的趋势。
From diverse horizons, in an open mind, and with strokes of arts and sciences, the
author shows his deep analysis of complexity in real estate transactions, real estate
brokerage professional norms, as well as the green building in the real estate field. He
also proposes the results and conclusions of his research on the influences, including
property value assessment system, multi-cultural community and market decision-
making a mechanism on the real estate industry.
作者以多样化的视野，开放式思维和文理兼蓄的笔法，深入剖析了房地产交易
行为，房地产经纪职业规范，以及绿色房地产建设的复杂性；分析了物业价值

Work Experience
Dr. Ligang Yang is an expert engaged in environmental economics and is a famous green real estate agent in the Greater Toronto Area.
He has dedicated to the research and practice of environmental protection and sustainable development. In the 1990s he had published an article "Environmental education is an important aspect of quality education", causing concern to the field. He had also published a monograph "Economic growth under optimal conditions of ecology" praised by peers authority.
Dr. Yang is concerned about the public good too. After immigrating to Canada, in 2012, he initiated the creation of the "Chinese Canadian Environmental Association," as vice-president, actively promote the Canadian Chinese to concern about environmental protection and to participate in environmental protection so as to establish a new image of the Chinese in Canada.
In 2014 with the famous musician Mr. Xiangyu Zhang together, he dedicated to the creation of "East-West Orchestra and Choir". To be the Chairman, he is working to promote the organization to get professional development.
East-West Orchestra and Choir (EWOC) was registered in
Richmond Hill, Ontario on 18, September 2012. It is approved
as a Charity-MGS (Minister of Government Services)
Corporation.
EWOC is dedicated to the multicultural music exchange and
development. The objects of the corporation are:
A) to educate and increase the public’s understanding and
appreciation of the arts by providing performances of an artistic
nature in public places, senior citizens’ homes, churches,
community centers and educational institutions, and by
providing seminars on topics relating to such performances.
B) to provide instructional seminars on topics related to the
performing and visual arts.
C) to produce performing arts festivals for the purposes of
educating and advancing the public’s understanding and
appreciation of performing arts and to educate artists through
participation in such festivals and related workshops.
EWOC has over 100 members who are professionals and high
leveled amateur. Almost 80% of team members are seniors.
In the last 4 years, EWOC took part in several influential events to
set up wide communication with other community
organizations. Now it has grown up to be a well-known one in
the GTA. EWOC has applied to Canada for funding to carry out
the project of NHSP- Multi-Music Arts Exchange for Seniors.
EWOC is under the management of music director, famous
Chinese Canadian Conductor, Composer David Xiangyu Zhang
and Chairman and environmental economist Dr. Wade Ligang
Yang.
From July 1, 2022, and onward Dr. Yang joined Cypro Realty Inc., Brokerage and took the responsibility of Vice-President.
东西方乐团（EWOC）于2012年9月18日成立于安大略
省烈治文山市，注册为省级慈善机构。
EWOC致力于中西多元文化音乐艺术交流与发展事业。
其主要宗旨为：
(1) 通过在各种公众场所、老年公民之家、教堂、社区服
务中心和教育机构，提供各种形式音乐艺术表演，以
及服务于老年人的各种相关的专题讲座，教育并促进
公众对音乐艺术的理解和欣赏；
(2) 提供各种与表演和视觉艺术相关的专业性示范指导讲
座；
(3) 举办音乐表演艺术活动，致力于教育并提高公众对音
乐表演艺术的理解和欣赏，以及通过类似活动和有关
研讨活动，教育培训音乐表演艺术家。
EWOC目前拥有专业人员和高水平业余爱好者100余名
，超过80%团队成员属于老年人士。
在过去的4年中，EWOC参与了一系列有影响力的活动
，与其它社团建立了广泛的联系。EWOC已经成长为大多区
知名的华人社团组织。EWOC成功申请到联邦政府老年人地
平线项目（NHSP）资金支持，开展针对老年人群的多元音乐
艺术交流。
EWOC音乐总监为著名华裔指挥家、作曲家大卫·张（
张祥雨）先生，董事长为环境经济学家韦德·杨（杨立纲博
士）。
自2022年7月1日起，杨立纲博士加盟赛博地产公司并任职副总裁。
